Inspire and motivate your audience by sharing your very best Impact Stories.

Long Haul will help your organization find its storytelling voice, crafting communication, outreach, marketing, and fundraising campaigns built around authentic personal stories, as told by the people benefitting from your good work.

Unlike many other storytelling consultants, we're also award-winning practitioners. Our two principals, Dan Collison and Elizabeth Meister, have spent their lives crafting award-winning stories for NPR's national shows. They also collaborate with StoryCorps, the national oral history project, on custom projects and outreach. They're expert at cutting through jargon and program-speak, demonstrating impact through the experiences of your strongest advocates: the people you serve.

Impact Stories are cost-effective building blocks, used for podcasts, videos, animations, print collateral, and more.

Long Haul's roots are in public radio, so it's no surprise we believe audio recordings are the most intimate, cost-effective way to collect Impact Stories. Our recording equipment fits in a backpack. We can record unobtrusively at a kitchen table, without video crews, lights and cameras. Our interviewees don't fret about their hair and makeup. They're more comfortable, their stories more authentic and intimate.

The stories we record yield building blocks for multiple formats. With the help of Long Haul's creative partners–filmmakers, photographers, animators, musicians, and writers–Impact Stories pair with thoughtful visuals, are reshaped in innovative social media, crafted into essays, used in books and exhibits. Each interview multitasks–a cost effective, and powerful way to reach audiences in different media.
